FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Juvederm?
Juvederm is a collection of several impressive fillers that are designed to achieve a smoother, balanced and youthful appearance. Juvederm is a smooth, injectable gel that is made of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance found naturally in the skin. Juvederm comes in a number of formulas of varying strengths, so treatments can be tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
How does Juvederm work?
Juvederm is administered by injecting just under the surface of the treatment area. It is made up of hyaluronic acid, which is a sugar-based compound responsible for creating moisture and nutrients within the skin. Therefore, this substance is vital in perpetuating volume and a youthful appearance within the skin. As we age however, the skin's ability to create and deliver its own hyaluronic acid dwindles. To counteract this aging process, Juvederm replenishes the depleted hyaluronic acid, achieving a smoothing and appealing appearance. This is then naturally absorbed by the body, completely free of any remaining residue.
