WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WITH LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

You can expect that at the fountain of youth, only experienced and licensed professionals will conduct your laser hair removal. Our team consists of nurse practitioners, physician assistants and laser certified medical aestheticians, all overseen by our medical director.

Your initial visit will consist of a complimentary consultation, where our professionals will ascertain your concerns and goals as well as answer any questions you may have. After this, we can either schedule your treatment for another time or proceed with treating the areas you wish, as all our consultations are scheduled with ample time for treatment.

Our medspa boasts all the amenities possible to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed, such as complimentary drinks, plush robes, slippers, all in an elegant atmosphere.

We can use two hand pieces, a high-speed vacuum as well as a smaller laser hand piece, allowing us to be as efficient as possible. Both hand pieces target the pigment, or color, within the hair follicle. It is absorbed and terminates hair growth.

You will likely need more than one treatment to reach your desired results, but after two treatments you should see a noticeable difference.

CAN HAIR BE REMOVED FROM EVERY PART OF THE BODY?

Yes! The fountain of youth is able to eliminate hair on just about every area of the body. The only areas that we are extremely careful to avoid are areas with tattoos, as well as the eyes, which we are careful to protect with professional eye protection.

A dormant hair follicle has no pigment to absorb the laser, so laser hair removal can only target growing hairs. Each person’s hair and growth cycles are different, so the number of treatments vary. On average, a series of eight treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, will remove all hair permanently. However, we offer unlimited hair removal, so you can ensure you reach your desired results no matter what!

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY LASER HAIR REMOVAL SESSION?

Clients will have best results if they avoid sun tanning before treatment. Waxing or tweezing should be discontinued at least three weeks before your session. We encourage our clients to continue to shave, especially right before the treatment. If you are unable to shave beforehand however, we have disposable razors that can be utilized before the treatment.

IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL PERMANENT?

​

Yes! Once your treatment is concluded, the hair is permanently removed. Any hair follicles that have been treated will no longer have hair growth. It is possible for large amounts of hormones to encourage growth of new hairs, but these can also be treated as well. Our unlimited package is perfect to ensure that hair, even years after treatment, will be eliminated.

IS THERE DOWNTIME OR RECOVERY AFTER LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

After your treatment with the fountain of youth laser hair removal, you can return to work or your normal routine immediately. Clients should avoid shaving or plucking remaining hairs for three to four days and avoid tanning or prolonged sun exposure. Ideally, waxing and electrolysis treatments should be discontinued until the full laser treatment is concluded.

IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL PAINFUL?

HOW IS OUR LASER HAIR REMOVAL DIFFERENT FROM ELECTROLYSIS?

Electrolysis treats one hair follicle at a time with a microneedle that pulses electrical or radiofrequency energy through the follicle. This can be highly uncomfortable and takes much longer to eliminate hair growth than laser therapy from Lightsheer.
